Vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 Scotty Welbourne photo of Wilson with an arm raised above her head, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To dearest Mayme Ober Peak, one of the charming people who make this a better world to live in. Marie Wilson,” who also adds along her upraised arm, “Me reaching for all things I hope to achieve. M. W.” Scattered creasing, some soiling and spotting to top edge, a couple trivial areas of surface loss, and scattered silvering to darker eras of background, otherwise very good condition. Peak was the first female reporter assigned to cover Hollywood. She was also the first president of the Hollywood Women's Press Club, and had a career covering diplomatic and other political stories in Washington.
